Frequent Answers & Questions
You've come to the right place if you have questions, because we have answers.
What states do you work in?
I am licensed in Texas, but will be licensed in Colorado in 2026.
What is your session fee?
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, here is the link to find out more Insurance & Fees
Do you offer a consultation before committing to
therapy?
Yes! I provide a free 15–20 minute consultation call or video call so we can see if we’re a good fit. This helps us both “check the vibe” before scheduling an intake session.
What is a sliding scale?
A sliding scale is a reduced fee based on your financial situation. I sometimes offer a limited number of sliding scale spots to make therapy more accessible. Feel free to ask me if any are available.
What is a superbill?
A superbill is like a detailed receipt for therapy services. If your insurance company offers out-of-network benefits, you can submit the superbill for possible reimbursement. I’ll provide one for you upon request.
What does the process of therapy look like?
Therapy is a journey we take together. We usually start with a consultation call, then move into an intake session to dive into your story. From there, we set goals, explore different tools and approaches, and check in regularly on your progress. The pace is always shaped by your needs.
What is an intake session?
Think of it as a “deep dive” into your story. In our first full session, I’ll ask about your history, current challenges, and hopes for therapy. Together, we’ll create a treatment plan and start building our therapeutic relationship.
What does a session with you look like?
Sessions are a mix of talking, reflecting, and sometimes using creative or body-based approaches like expressive arts, sandtray, or EMDR, depending on what fits you best. Above all, it’s a safe space where you can show up as yourself without judgment.
What if we aren’t a good fit?
That’s okay! The therapeutic relationship is really important, and sometimes it takes a little trial and error. If it doesn’t feel right, I’ll happily provide referrals to other therapists who might be a better match for your needs.
What if therapy feels too expensive?
I completely understand. Therapy is an investment in yourself, and sometimes the cost can feel overwhelming. I can provide superbills if you’d like to seek reimbursement from your insurance. Some clients also choose to space out sessions (biweekly instead of weekly) to make it more manageable.
